What is a Selfie Museum?
Originally launched in a 960 -square-foot downtown location, Selfie Cincy quickly became a creative hub for locals, artists, influencers, and visitors seeking a space where art could be experienced not just observed.
In April 2025, Selfie Cincy faced an unexpected flood that forced the closure of its original space. Yet even during this pause, demand for the museum continued to grow. The community response made one thing clear: Selfie Cincy was needed and its next chapter had to be even more impactful.
Out of that challenge came a renewed vision. Selfie Cincy reopened with an expanded, more monumental presence in the city, offering creatives a true content paradise. The museum now features enhanced technology, including VR and AR experiences, pushing beyond traditional selfie spaces to deliver immersive, future-forward storytelling unlike any other museum in Cincinnati.
At its core, Selfie Cincy exists to give creatives space to experiment, express, collaborate, and be seen. By highlighting local culture through a global perspective, Selfie Cincy invites visitors to step inside the art, connect with the city, and experience Cincinnati in an entirely new way.

Meet the
Amari Samya is the Founder and CEO of Selfie Cincy, an immersive art and content museum rooted in storytelling, culture, and community. A Cincinnati native, Amari’s creative journey began at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), where early exposure to visual art, performance, and creative discipline shaped her artistic voice and sense of possibility.
Growing up, Amari found inspiration simply by walking downtown to and from school. Everyday Amari was captivated by bold murals, architecture, and the vibrant energy of the city. What started as taking photos of murals and moments with friends became a deeper appreciation for how art lives in everyday spaces. That curiosity followed her to college, where she studied theatre, falling even further in love with the arts through storytelling, world-building, and immersive design.
Traveling internationally expanded her perspective, exposing her to interactive museums and cultural spaces across the globe. Those experiences sparked a realization: Cincinnati had the talent, history, and creative pulse to support a world-class immersive art museum, one that reflected the city’s culture while offering a global lens.
Today, Amari blends her background in performance, design, and cultural storytelling to reimagine how people experience art. Through Selfie Cincy, she continues to champion creatives, elevate local narratives, and invite visitors to see Cincinnati not just as a city but as a work of art.

New to Selfie Cincy?
Here’s everything you need to know before your visit from booking to snapping your first pic!
Most guests use their phone, but you’re welcome to bring your own camera! We provide ring lights, tripods, and props to help you get the perfect shot.
General admission sessions last approximately 60 minutes, giving you plenty of time to explore multiple installations, change poses, and capture your best shots. Private events and rentals vary based on the package booked.
Absolutely! Selfie Cincy is perfect for friend groups, birthdays, bachelorettes, families, and team outings. Group discounts and private bookings are also available.
Food and drinks are not permitted during general admission sessions. For private events, light refreshments and décor may be allowed with prior approval.
Your booking includes access to our rotating selfie installations, props, and immersive sets designed to elevate your content and social media presence.
Photographers are not included by default, but select packages offer on-site photography or content assistance. You’re also welcome to bring your own photographer.
